Jim Whitten established Jim Whitten Roof Consultants out of his home in 1999 as a sole proprietorship. He previously worked at Law Engineering with a focus on buildings and facilities, and prior owning a roofing business.
Since building the company from the ground up, Jim dedicated his time towards not only making his clients happy, but prioritizing his employees to ensure they had a path for growth. Instilled in a culture of valuing others and leaving no question unanswered, they’ve paved the way for building envelope consulting services in Texas and throughout the United States.
In 2017, Robert Hernandez transitioned to the president of JWRC. Since then, the company has received a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) certification from the State of Texas.
Whitten Building Envelope Consultants provides independent roofing and waterproofing consulting services for educational, institutional, governmental, and private sector clients.
